一般社団法人 障がい者武道協会とは ?


障害者武道協会はこれらの精神の基によって設立されました。

Our organization was founded with the spirit of these words.


「障害者に武道ができるのか　?」

“ Can the handicapped engage in the practice of budō ? ”


「障害者による武道はよい効果を生むのか　?」等々。

and “ Will the study of budō by the disabled produce any positive results ? ” We often hear such questions.


近代スポーツは限定された一定の身体運動が可能であることを要求しますが、しかし武道は武術
から発展し、その武術は戦場で如何に身を守るかということを思考し発展してきました。

Modern sports require that activities be performed in a specific manner, defined by, and limited to rules. Budō; however, arose from the martial arts of battle in the field, irrespective of rules, with the only consideration of what could be used to protect one's life.


そのため現在、リハビリテーションとして近代スポーツより武道はより広い可能性を持っているのです。ゆえに、障害者による武道は、社会に新たな豊かさを提供できるのです。

In this way, more so than rehabilitation by the means of modern sports, budō offers a broad range of possibilities for the handicapped person.


人それぞれにも個性があるように、障害そのものがその人の個性なのです。

Each person has their own individuality, and as an aspect of this, our handicaps, our obstacles, also contribute to make up this individuality.
